WHICH FRYING PAN AND POTS SHOULD YOU HAVE?
Knowing which frying pan or saucepan suits your needs and which one is compatible with your stove can be a challenge. A Teflon pan will make cooking go quickly and you'll spend less time washing up afterwards. The Teflon pan requires your attention and that you pay attention to the temperature. If you're not in a hurry and want to spend more time in the kitchen, a cast iron pan is the way to go. Cast iron frying pans are the best pans to use when you want a high heat and grilling effect. Frying pans and saucepans made of durable and good quality materials are an investment as they will last longer and bring even more joy to your kitchen. A cast iron pan can also be used for casseroles as well as for bread baking, Sunday roasts or meat sauce. A thinner-bottomed pan is great for things like eggs or vegetables, and a thick-bottomed pan or casserole is optimal for roasting meat. Having pots and pans in different materials makes cooking easier and gives better results.
THE RIGHT PANS FOR YOUR STOVE
Different cookers require different equipment. A common question is which pots, pans and saucepans will work on an induction hob. In stock, you will find useful and stylish stainless steel pans from Mauviel, for example. The M'COOK collection is specially designed to be suitable for induction hobs but can also be used on all types of stoves. There are also carbon steel frying pans that work on most heat sources. They are also lighter than a cast iron pan.
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH PANS AND POTS WORK ON AN INDUCTION HOB?
Aluminium or stainless steel pots and pans need a magnetic base containing iron to work on an induction hob. Cast iron has natural iron in it and is therefore an excellent choice for this type of hob. A pan or cookware with a so-called sandwich base is also a good option, where the base itself is made of several different materials layered together. In the middle there is a magnetic layer that allows the pan to be used on an induction hob. A simple tip to see if the pot or pan is magnetic is to hold a magnet against the bottom. If the magnet is pulled towards the pan, you can use it on an induction hob without any problem. If you are unsure, look for the induction symbol on the pan which is a guarantee that it will work on this type of hob.
