Coravin allows you to get the same taste experience from the last glass of wine as from the first, even if you drink it weeks, months or years later. At Nordiska Galleriet you will find several products from the wine technology company that allow the wine in the bottle to retain its full flavour.
MODERN WINE TECHNOLOGY COMPANY WITH INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
Founded in 2011, Coravin is a Boston-based wine technology company. Coravin's product line includes advanced wine openers and screw caps that combine high technology with ease of use. With these products, you can try new wines and bottles without opening the bottle and disrupting the natural aging process.
PATENTED CORAVIN™ TECHNOLOGY
Coravin uses a patented Coravin™ technology that involves a thin needle penetrating the wine cork and injecting the odourless and flavourless noble gas argon. The gas does not react with the wine but creates an overpressure that allows the wine to flow out of the thin needle. Once the needle is removed, the hole expands and the cork regains its shape. The wine thus retains its flavour as oxygen does not come into contact with the wine in the bottle. The needle, available in different sizes, is adapted to the brand's wine preservation system. It is made of stainless steel with a non-stick coating which makes it durable and contributes to easy insertion for multiple pours.
SMART WINE OPENERS AND SCREW CAPS FOR ALL TYPES OF WINE
Coravin has needles to fit all wine bottles, including thinner needles that are great for older and more fragile vintage bottles. There are also champagne stoppers that fit all standard sparkling wine bottles, allowing you to enjoy champagne and other drinks while preserving the bubbles. From the brand there is a screw cap with a similar function to the wine opener but adapted for wine bottles with screw caps. In our range you will find several clever and innovative products from Coravin including wine preservation kits which include a set of accessories such as wine aerators, gas cartridges, racks and special designer wine corks.
