Girder Wall Shelf

Girder is a wall shelf from the British brand Buster + Punch. The shelf is made from 4 mm laser-cut sheet aluminium, press bent into shape and finished with a powder coating. Its construction incorporates a 12 mm solid metal rail that is polished by hand. The rail runs along the shelf, adding a separate metal component to the formed aluminium structure. Girder wall shelf is finished with matching Buster + Punch coin screws, integrating the fixings into the overall construction. The combination of laser-cut aluminium, press bending, powder coating and solid metal brings several manufacturing processes together within one piece. Designed as a heavy-duty wall-mounted shelf, Girder provides a surface for storing and organising objects while keeping the floor area clear. The hand-polished solid metal rail and matching coin screws remain visible elements, connecting the shelf’s materials, construction and wall-mounted function.
