CH53 is a classically simple and functional footstool from Carl Hansen & Søn in true Hans J. Wegner style. The footstool bears a clear resemblance to the designer's many other pieces for the brand and has roots in the American Shaker movement. Here, you can purchase the CH53 footstool with a height of 39 or 43 centimeters. The lower version is also adapted to work in a set together with the CH44 armchair.

Here you see Carl Hansen's CH53 in solid beech, upholstered with a seat in natural braided paper cord. Like many of Wegner's other works, the iconic envelope weaving has been used here as well.
