Macchina della Luce is a ceiling lamp from Catellani Smith that is a refinement of the Luci d'Oro collection. The series was created by Enzo Catellani with inspiration from the warmth and color scheme of the sun and fire. Macchina della Luce Mod. A consists of four circular aluminum disks covered with gold or silver leaf-thin blades, with the largest disk adorned with floating leaves. The lamp comes with matching construction in brass or nickel-plated. The lightbulbs placed on top of the three lower disks spread a soft and indirect light in the room. The distance between the disks can be adjusted between 15 and 30 cm to create the desired look of the lamp, whose charm lies in never being the same. Exclusively handmade in Italy, right on the banks of the Serio River in the Bergamo area.
