Parentesi Dimmer pendant light

The Parentesi Dimmer Pendant Lamp by Flos is an iconic lighting solution from Italy, designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù in 1971. It is distinguished by its innovative construction, featuring a shaped steel tube that runs vertically along a cable tensioned between the floor and ceiling by means of a cast-iron counterweight.

The flexible suspension allows the light source to be easily adjusted in height as needed, creating dynamic and functional illumination. The lamp head is made from black injection-moulded elastomer, contributing to its distinctive graphic expression. An electronic dimmer is mounted on the cable, allowing smooth adjustment of the light intensity and creating different atmospheres within the space. The Parentesi Dimmer Pendant Lamp combines technical precision with a minimalist design language, making it suitable for both residential and public interiors. The construction also allows for the addition of a second light source, providing even greater flexibility in use.
