Mogensen 2207 Club Chair

Mogensen 2207 Club Chair is an armchair from the Danish brand Fredericia Furniture. The armchair is designed by Børge Mogensen and is part of the Mogensen 22 Collection, a series of fully upholstered sofas and armchairs characterized by sharp outer contours and soft cushions on the inside - an expression where the timeless form is combined with an outstanding material quality and precision in the upholstery. 

The armchair is fully upholstered and is available with upholstery in leather or fabric, with piping along the seams. The fixed legs are made of solid wood and integrated into the internal wooden frame. The seat is supported by a jute and rubber webbing, while separate seat and back cushions have removable covers. The cushions are available in two versions: with a foam core surrounded by down or with a mixture of foam and down distributed in separate chambers. The outer upholstery of the armchair is not removable.

Børge Mogensen (1914–1972) was one of the most influential designers who shaped modern Danish design. He drew inspiration from around the world in his quest to create everyday objects that would last for generations, and believed that furniture should create a sense of calm and have an unpretentious design language. Mogensen was praised for his masterful sense of materials and proportions, and his work has been recognized and exhibited in leading design museums around the world.
