Fritz Hansen's great Series 7 was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and comes here as a desk chair. 3217 Series 7 has the same design as the original 3107 but has also been fitted with comfortable armrests and a chrome-plated suspended and movable base on wheels.
Series 7 is based on the same innovative manufacturing process as Jacobsen's classic Ant chair. The seat and backrest are created in one piece, consisting of nine layers of veneer layered with two layers of Indian cotton and pressed into their true shape. This has given the Series 7 a thin and stylish shell, the backrest can also be flexed, adding to the elevated level of comfort. The chair is available with fabric or leather upholstery in a wide range of colors. The 3217 Series 7 desk chair is equally at home in the home office or in the workplace.
