Nelson Pear Bubble is a pear-shaped hanging lamp in two sizes from HAY, with a design from 1952 by designer George Nelson. The hanging lamp can be chosen in small and medium and can thus be nicely combined with other hanging lamps from the same collection to create an exciting group of lamps in different shapes and sizes. You will also find Pear as a wall lamp from the same series, as well as the Pear CrissCross model with the same shape but a different pattern of metal rods.
Like the other models in the Nelson Bubble series, the Nelson Pear Bubble comes with a lightweight metal construction covered in a thin white fabric. Thus, George Nelson was very innovative in the use of materials, which became extremely popular in the 1960suntil today. The material is extremely eye-catching both when the lamp is on or off. When illuminated, however, the material comes to life in a way that can be likened to opal glass.
