Alvar Aalto Vase 180 mm

Aalto Vase 180 mm is a vase from the Finnish brand Iittala. The vase is designed by Alvar Aalto, whose organic design language draws inspiration from the shapes and movements of nature. Since its introduction, the Aalto vase has become a central part of Nordic design and is today one of the most recognizable glass vases from Iittala. The characteristic wave shapes create an expression where form and function interact in a natural way.

Each vase is manufactured through a handcrafted process where the glass is first mouth-blown, then hand-cut and finally polished in several steps. The process gives each piece an individual expression and highlights the materiality of the glass and the soft contours of the design.
