Concrete KOL was launched on 31/5 2022 at 10.00
The Armchair Concrete KOL is a limited edition from Källemo by Jonas Bohlin's iconic piece of furniture. The chair will be sold exclusively by us at Nordiska Galleriet and has been produced in a limited edition of 100. All copies are numbered and signed.
The original Concrete chair was designed by Jonas Bohlin in 1981 as part of his degree project at Konstfack. The frame chair in concrete and steel quickly gained a lot of attention and created a debate about what art is and should be. Today, the chair is a cult object and one of Sweden's greatest furniture classics. 40 years later, Källemo Concrete is now releasing KOL, an updated edition of the controversial chair icon. In today's chair, the concrete has been replaced with burnt pine and the legs are in pre-coppered steel.
