Sferico No. 1 is a drinking glass from the Sferico series, designed in 1968 by Joe Colombo. Today, the mouth-blown drinking glasses are produced in transparent glass by the Danish brand Karakter. This glass and the other five in the series are characterized by their geometric shapes. In keeping with Colombo's commitment to democratic and functional design, Sferico No. 1 is designed for a wide range of uses such as water, drinks, whisky, wine, beer, juice, champagne or even ice cream. Sferico No. 1 is dishwasher safe.
During his lifetime, Joe Colombo designed a wide range of drinking glasses, something that was close to his heart as he loved to drink and smoke. Clearly this contributed to his early death. Karakter is proud to offer Sferico No. 1 and many of his finest drinking glasses and hopes that with this collection Colombo would be happy to see his creations live on.
