Minipipistrello is the smallest size of Martinelli Luce's iconic Pipistrello lamp, which has become a modern classic in lighting design. Minipipistrello comes in this version with a touch dimmer for adjustable brightness. The lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 in a completely unique design and the table lamp takes its rightful place in the room, both as an eye-catching interior design object while spreading an atmospheric dimmable light.
Minipipistrello is characterized by its cone-shaped base in stainless steel and the shade in four parts, designed after the wings of a bat, which meet in the middle with a knob. The shade is made of opal white methacrylate that lights up when the lamp is turned on. Minipipistrello has a fixed height base that is available in several different colors and the knob in the middle of the shade comes in the same color as the base.
Pipistrello is also available in two larger sizes, which have a telescopic base that can be raised and lowered. The series has also been complemented by a completely wireless option that is powered by batteries. In 2015, a gold-plated anniversary edition was created to celebrate Pipistrello's 50th anniversary.
