The 19 Outdoors Bench, designed by Butterfield Brothers for NINE, is part of the 19 Outdoors outdoor collection. The bench is made of powder-coated aluminum and inspired by the charity project 19 Chairs. During the Covid-19 lockdown, the design duo took on the challenge of designing and making 19 chairs in 19 days in their south London garden. These chairs were then reworked by 19 different artists and designers with the mission to adapt the design for older people. The furniture was displayed at an exhibition in London and sold at an online charity auction, with all proceeds going to Age UK.
