Savanna Dark Jute/Black Wool & Jute Rug

Savanna Dark Jute/Black is a hand-knotted wool and jute rug from the Stockholm-based brand Nordic Knots. The rug is designed in Stockholm and handmade in Bhadohi, India, with a front made of 50% wool and 50% jute. The materials combine New Zealand wool with Indian jute, creating a weave where the softness of the wool meets the structure of the jute. The rug has a hand-knotted design with a cut pile and a total thickness of 17 mm. The two-tone weave and the cut pile create variation between light and texture across the surface of the rug. Savanna Dark Jute/Black is Goodweave™ certified.

The Dark Jute/Black colorway combines smoky toned jute with inky black wool. The contrast between the dark tones and the different structures of the materials highlights the weave and creates a varied depth across the surface of the rug.

For those who want to experience the material, color and structure, a 20 × 20 cm sample piece, cut directly from the rug, is available for purchase from us.
