The String rod is an accessory from the Swedish brand String. The rod is designed to be used together with perforated metal shelves or galvanized shelves within the modular String System, which was designed by Nisse Strinning in 1949. The rod is available in three widths: 24 cm, 53 cm and 72 cm. The 53 cm and 72 cm variants are mounted along the width of the shelf, while the 24 cm rod can also be mounted along the depth, provided that the shelf is 30 cm deep. The mounting takes place directly in the shelf's perforations. The accessory is particularly useful in hallway or wardrobe solutions where space is needed for hangers, scarves or other smaller items. It can also be used to hang leashes or accessories. Each package contains one rod.
