Spin stool stackable

Spin is a stool from Swedish brand Swedese designed by Staffan Holm. With its pared-back appearance and innovative construction the stool combines a simple design language with advanced woodworking. The design received the Furniture of the Year award in 2010 and is characterised by its curved forms and sculptural silhouette.

The stool is made of laminated ash veneer bent in two different directions. This technique gives Spin its characteristic shape. The moulded legs follow the contours of the round seat and create a continuous construction that places the material’s natural properties at the centre. The result is a piece of furniture with a light and balanced appearance in which every part contributes to the whole. Spin is stackable and takes on a distinctive appearance when several stools are placed on top of one another. The curved legs cause the stools to form an upward-growing spiral that adds a decorative element to the room. Spin is also available as a bar stool and with the option of an upholstered seat so the design can be used in different settings.
