Archivo JH44 is a shelving unit from &Tradition, designed by Jaime Hayon and based on a personal project created for his own home. The design combines soft forms with a sturdy construction and was conceived for storing and displaying meaningful objects and treasured keepsakes.
The irregular arrangement of the shelves gives Archivo JH44 a playful and decorative character. The varying compartments break away from the traditional shelving structure, creating an expressive composition with space for books, art objects and other personal items. Storage becomes part of the furniture’s visual expression, with a balanced variation between open spaces and distinct lines. Archivo is made from MDF, precision-cut using CNC technology and processed to create its characteristic construction. The choice of material and surface finish gives the shelving unit a cohesive appearance while highlighting its irregular structure. The result is a functional storage piece with a distinctive graphic expression, where Hayon’s playful approach to form meets a structured and practical design.
