Île w153 is a playful, multifunctional lamp designed by French Inga Sempé for the brand Wästberg. The small lamp has a distinctive character with the characteristic lamp head that can be compared to a parasol where the light from the integrated LED light source is pushed up, creating an interesting light effect where the flicker-free light bounces against the inside of the parasol. This creates a soft, warm white light with good dispersion for a smaller surface. The word Île comes from the French and means island, which makes one think unsolicited of the parasol reference that Sempé used. The lamp head can also be angled for the desired light direction.
Île w153 and its great strength is precisely that it is multifunctional, as it can be attached to the wall, the table or stand on the table base. It is made of aluminum which is available in seven different colors and comes with a 2 meter long black cable. The areas of use for Île w153 are many, for example attached to the shelf, as a table lamp next to the bed or attached to the wall in the hall. This designer lamp adds playfulness and will not go unnoticed, despite its size. In addition, the LED lamp has a lifespan of an impressive 50,000 hours.
