La Cupola is an espresso machine from the Italian brand Alessi. The model was designed by Aldo Rossi and this version was put into production in 2025. The espresso machine is based on the relationship between architecture and household appliances, a recurring theme in Aldo Rossi's work, and has the shape of a small architectural monument.
The model is made of cast aluminum and has a plastic handle and knob, here in light blue. The construction has a magnetic steel base that makes the espresso machine suitable for use on induction hobs. This new version retains the shape of the original model while the base has been adapted for induction.
