La Cupola is an espresso machine from the Italian brand Alessi. The model was designed by Aldo Rossi in 1988 and was created with the ambition of making a coffee maker accessible to many. Aldo Rossi's design is based on clear architectural elements, where the characteristic dome defines the silhouette of the model.
The espresso machine is made of aluminum and has handles and knobs in black thermoplastic. It is characterized by its effective thermal conductivity. This property makes the jug perfect for brewing authentic Italian coffee. The jug is offered in different sizes to suit different needs and amounts of coffee. It is adapted for all types of stoves except induction hobs. When used on a gas stove, discoloration may occur over time. To preserve the quality and appearance of the jug, it should always be washed by hand.
La Cupola has become part of the Alessi range since its introduction and is described as an icon of contemporary design.
