CH004 Nesting Tables from Carl Hansen were designed in 1952 by Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. The iconic nesting tables were created with a focus on function and harmony, two principles that characterize Wegner's work. The series consists of three tables that are designed to be placed together or used separately, depending on the needs and space. Wegner's nesting tables are characterized by round, tapered legs, classic tenon joints and an arched frame on the front and back. The subtle details create a clear design identity and give an organic expression. Nesting tables became popular in the 1950s as the demand for flexible furniture increased. Wegner's version still responds to this need, with a light design language and a shape that makes it easy to rearrange furniture. The tables work well as side tables, coffee tables or as a relief surface in different rooms of the home.
