La Lampe B table lamp

La Lampe B is a table lamp from the French lighting brand DCWéditions. Designed by Thierry Dreyfus, the lamp explores the role of light in intimate settings and during the evening and night. Its design references the glow of a candle, using soft illumination that emerges from within the lamp’s white form. La Lampe B is conceived as a soft sculpture in which the light is integrated into the object and revealed from the inside. During the day, its white body functions as a standalone object, while the internal illumination changes its appearance when switched on. Thierry Dreyfus developed the table lamp with an emphasis on subdued light rather than purely functional brightness. La Lampe B can be positioned on tables and other surfaces in interiors where a soft source of light is required, including living rooms and bedrooms. The relationship between the white sculptural form and the light emerging from within is central to both the function and visual character of the lamp.
