Plush Oval dining table

Plush Table Oval is a dining table from the Danish brand dk3, designed by Jacob Plejdrup in 2023, where generous forms and the natural character of the material take centre stage. The design marks a new direction for dk3, shifting the focus from refined details to larger, softly shaped volumes based on a clear “more is more” concept.

The solid wood tabletop is defined by balanced curves that interact with the substantial legs, which are available in two dimensions. This variation creates a deliberate relationship between the thickness of the tabletop and the proportions of the legs, resulting in a harmonious whole despite its robust expression. Plush Table Oval highlights the inherent qualities of wood, allowing its grain and texture to play an active role in the design. The soft lines contribute to an inviting appearance, while the construction provides stability and weight. The result is a table where form and material come together in a cohesive and distinctive design.
