Tiki – Fogia

A series with distinct form and high comfort

The Tiki series, launched in 2014 and designed by Andreas Engesvik for Fogia, is a seating furniture series with a light construction and clear form. Its thin profile gives an airy expression, while the construction and choice of materials ensure high comfort and long durability. The series combines a slender silhouette with a seating experience that is soft, stable, and adapts over time.

Design and construction

The series is characterized by a balanced form where a neat frame meets generous cushions. The distinct upper line defines the silhouette and gives the furniture a clear architectural expression.

The frame is made of solid beech and plywood, providing stability and a long lifespan. The seat cushions consist of high-resilience cold foam with a channel-stitched top, designed to maintain shape and comfort during prolonged use. The back cushions are filled with siliconized crimped ball fiber, which provides soft and conforming support.

Materials and finishes

The series is offered in a wide selection of fabric and leather upholsteries. Textile upholsteries are available in varying structures and lusters, allowing for both neutral and more expressive designs. Leather options, such as Elmosoft and Vintage Rangers, have a smooth surface and develop a patina with use.

Leather is durable and easy to maintain, while fabric offers greater variation in color and texture. The seat cushions are fixed (not reversible), which helps to maintain their shape over time. The base consists of black lacquered metal legs, providing a stable foundation and a subtle visual contrast.

Versions and usage

The Tiki series consists of a three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa, and armchairs in two sizes. The series is suitable for both private and public environments, such as living rooms, lounge areas, and hotel settings.
