Allegretto Vivace is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Atelier Oï in 2009. The lamp is part of the Allegretto series and is characterised by its warm copper-plated finish, which gives the open metal structure a soft and expressive depth.
The construction consists of slender metal rods balanced against one another to form a three-dimensional volume. The slim lines create a sense of rhythm and movement, while the spaces between them give the pendant lamp an airy expression. Depending on the viewing angle, the silhouette changes and the interplay between the different elements becomes more or less prominent. When Allegretto Vivace is switched on, the light interacts with the metal rods, creating a varied play of light and shadow in the surrounding space. The copper-plated surface adds a warm tone and highlights the graphic lines of the construction. The result is a pendant lamp in which metal, geometry and light come together to form a distinct spatial composition.
