Allegro Vivace is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Atelier Oï in 2007. The lamp is part of the Allegro series, in which graphic forms and lighting effects come together in large, airy compositions with a distinct spatial presence.
Allegro Vivace is composed of elemental geometric lines that together form an open, three-dimensional structure. The copper-plated finish gives the metal surfaces warm reflections and highlights the many lines without weighing down the overall composition. The construction creates a sense of movement and changes visually depending on the viewing angle. When the lamp is switched on, the light interacts with the metal structure and open spaces, creating varying effects of light and shadow in the room. The combination of copper-plated metal, geometric silhouettes and generous volume gives the Allegro Vivace pendant lamp a sculptural and graphic expression in which light becomes an integral part of the form.
