Buds 2 is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2016. The lamp is part of the Buds family, a series that explores blown glass through different combinations of shapes and colours. Buds 2 is characterised by its full, rounded silhouette and a clear focus on the material qualities of the glass.
The generous form gives the pendant lamp a sculptural presence, while the soft lines create a balanced expression. Blown glass is at the centre of the design, highlighting the interplay between form, colour and light. Buds 2 can be hung on its own or combined with other models in the Buds family to create compositions with varying shapes and proportions. The pendant lamp is available in two dimmable versions: one with a replaceable E27 LED light source and one with integrated LED. The version with integrated LED can be dimmed via PUSH or DALI, allowing the light to be adjusted using a momentary push button or connected to a compatible lighting control system.
