Dania Step Stool

Dania is a step stool from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by Designit with a simple and functional expression. It is part of the Dania collection, which consists of practical wooden objects where considered construction and long-term use take centre stage.

The step stool is designed to make it easier to reach higher shelves and other hard-to-reach places in the home. The lower step can be pushed underneath the construction when not in use and pulled out when needed. This flexible solution allows Dania Step Ladder to also be used as a stool, while its compact form makes it easy to place in different rooms. Designit works across disciplines including design, strategy, marketing and technology. In Dania Step Ladder, this functional approach is expressed through a straightforward construction in which every part serves a clear purpose. The result is a versatile step stool that combines several uses in a single object.
