PK9 is an attractive dining chair designed by Poul Kjærholm for Fritz Hansen in 1960. The chair has a modern minimalist design, with a rounded shell in nylon and stylish column base in satin-brushed stainless steel. The shell is fully upholstered and available in a choice of leathers. PK9 goes perfectly with the PK58 table from Fritz Hansen.

PK9 demonstrates Kjærholm's uncompromising quest to achieve the optimum form in a design. He got the inspiration for the chair's shape when he and his wife Hanne Kjærholm were at the beach. When she got up from the sand, a perfect sitting impression was left behind, which led Kjærholm to want to design an equally perfectly shaped piece of seating furniture.
