Filet is an egg cup from Gien, France, designed to bring a quiet elegance to the table setting, even in the smallest details. Its hand-painted decoration creates a subtle expression that pairs effortlessly with other pieces from Gien’s collections.
Crafted from earthenware and measuring Ø 5.2 cm with a height of 7 cm, the egg cup features a warm and lively surface created by the natural composition of sand, clay and kaolin. Each piece is shaped and finished in Gien’s own workshops, where the entire process—from blending to glazing—is carried out according to established artisanal traditions. Through multiple firings and a series of carefully executed stages performed by experienced ceramic artisans, every egg cup develops its own unique character. It is designed for everyday use, with its handcrafted expression and material qualities contributing to a thoughtful and cohesive table setting over time.
