Private Desk is a display cabinet designed by Space Copenhagen for Gubi that is part of the Private Collection. Its Brown/Black or light colored Oak Veneer frame, together with the three glass shelves, create a transparent shelf for collecting and displaying books, porcelain, glassware, or other precious ornaments. Private Vitrine is a showcase for the bedroom, living room, or kitchen but would also work well in a hotel or spa lobby where you want to create a personal and homely kitchen.
The collaboration between Space Copenhagen and Gubi is defined by a shared philosophy that combines a signature elegant simplicity with a cosmopolitan international outlook. Prioritizing functionality and personality in design while focusing on close attention to effective detail has resulted in a soulful design universe that emphasizes a sense of spaciousness and identity combined with a nuanced approach to materials and craftsmanship. The collection also includes a bedside table, a sideboard, and a desk.
Jacob Gubi, the creator of the brand, considers the glass cabinet as his favorite and as something he has always lacked in Gubi's work in the past. Using materials that balance practicality with textural richness combined with Space Copenhagen's touch creates furniture that is understated and elegant and will perfectly frame the objects that its users choose to display in their homes.
