The Dandy Ottoman is an elegant and comfortable seat designed in 2015 by Chris Martin for the Swedish furniture company Massproductions. This seat is a perfect complement to the sofas in the same series. Just like the sofas, this upholstered seat stool has a design that brings to mind the elegant 1930s. The Dandy Ottoman has cylindrical legs made from natural oak, black stained oak or walnut stained beech.
When Massproduction's chief designer, Chris Martin, designed the Dandy range, he thought a lot about how we want to sit and move around the room. The answer was the Dandy range, which, in addition to this pouf, also includes sofas and a sofa. The key feature of the collection is the soft, organic design that encourages social interaction and new relationships. The name of the series is a reference to the concept of the dandy, which emerged in the 18th century and refers to middle-class men who wanted to showcase an extravagance in terms of what they wore and how they behaved. The Dandy Ottoman and the other men in the series share many common traits with the dandy, such as elegance, style and a relaxed attitude.
