The Ceras 2 wool rug is a handwoven rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. The brand collaborates with weavers in India, Nepal, and Pakistan, focusing on combining artisanal traditions with natural materials.
The rug was designed by Nani Marquina in 2022 and is part of the Ceras collection. This collection is based on hand-drawn chalk compositions, where colors are chosen intuitively and the textile result faithfully reflects the expression of the original sketches. The rug is handwoven using kilim technique, resulting in a thin, flat structure that preserves the subtle irregularities of the sketching process.
Ceras 2 is made of 100% hand-spun Afghan wool. The material provides a tactile, matte surface with natural tonal variations. The color blocks are balanced, creating a graphic yet soft rhythm that works well in both private and public spaces. The rug is well suited for interiors where texture and a subdued color palette are integral to the overall design.
