Wabisabi wool rug Anthracite is a handwoven rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. Through collaborations with weavers in India, Nepal, and Pakistan, Nanimarquina combines a material-driven design approach with traditional craftsmanship and local techniques.
The design, created by Nani Marquina, is part of the Wabisabi collection, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of beauty in imperfection. Each rug originates from a freehand sketch that is translated into textile with slight variations, making every piece unique. In the Anthracite version, dark grey tones meet in subtle, wave-like color fields that add depth and movement to the surface.
The rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool – a durable natural material with a soft tactile feel. It is suitable for dry indoor environments and works well in spaces where a quiet yet present textile surface is desired – from living rooms to workspaces or open social areas.
