In 1964, Italian designer Joe Colombo designed The Globe range for the Italian lighting company Oluce, which included The Globe Table lamp. Like many other luminaires in the Oluce range, The Globe is characterized by its clean, geometric shapes. The Globe Table is a good example of a lamp that combines form with function.
