Mayor AJ5 is a classic sofa by Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen, created for the town hall in Søllerød, Denmark in 1939, and now produced by &tradition. The sofa was developed when the two architects designed a wedding room for the town hall. The aim was to create a solemn look, so the sofa was given a high back with armrests in a single piece - beautifully decorated with lots of buttons. We also have the smaller AJ6 model, which comes in the same elegant design, with the only difference being its dimensions. That's why they also fit nicely in a group.

&traditions Mayor AJ5 comes with a solid wood base, and you can choose between oak and walnut. For the walnut model, only an oiled finish is available, while oak is offered in both a white oiled, black lacquered and smoke oiled finish. With upholstery, you can choose from a variety of fabrics from Kvadrat and leather from CA-MO.
