The elegant wall lamp A910 was designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1990s for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. A910 is based on the timeless "Angel Wings" luminaire, which is a timeless icon in functionalist furniture design. The lamps are characterized by a beautiful and very unique expression. Originally designed for the living room of French artist Louis Carre, the lamp's stylish design and exciting light distribution make it a design piece to be reckoned with even today. When Alvar Aalto was a child, he was constantly enchanted by filtered and subdued light, which he later explained as "like the light streaming in through grandma's lace curtains on a warm summer day". This resulted in his lighting design taking on the same feeling in the form of light, which is no exception for the beautiful and eye-catching Angel Wing lamps.
