Model 2065 Wall from the brand Astep. Gino Sarfatti's Model 2065 is known for its timeless lightness and elegance, which can be attributed to the plastic polymer methacrylate. Sarfatti discovered this material between 1949 and 1950 and identified that it could create a hanging lamp that was lighter and more resilient than glass. The design allowed the cables to be mounted inside the tubes, meaning no architectural or electrical intervention was required - making it both easy to attach to the wall and nomadic in nature. This 'breaking of the mould' for its category has led to the Model 2065 Wall being recognised as a masterpiece of design.
The Model 2065 Wall adds a touch of beauty to any interior space. From the powerful diffuser, which consists of two opalescent plates and is set on an elegantly curved tubular structure in black painted steel, to the five E14 LED lamps that provide illumination, this luminaire is all about lightness and simplicity. The elliptical shape creates a sense of infinite movement that perfectly accentuates the striking qualities of the design - making it both remarkable and modern.
