Aplat Table Lamp

Aplat Table Lamp is a table lamp from Danish HAY, designed by the French design duo CPRV, exploring the interaction between form, material, and construction. The lamp is made from folded paper, where precise lines and angles create a simple and distinctly graphic silhouette.

The flat-packed construction is delivered in parts and assembled by the user, providing a direct understanding of how the form is built. The diffuse surface of the paper softly spreads the light, creating a warm and subdued glow reminiscent of candlelight.

The lightweight structure is complemented by a discreet metal hook that makes the lamp easy to move when needed. Aplat Table Lamp is available in two sizes and can be placed on tables, shelves, or window sills, but also functions as a low light source directly on the floor.
