The Fabrizio Archeologist wool rug is a hand-knotted rug from the Swedish brand Nordic Knots. The rug is part of a collection by Paris-based interior designer Fabrizio Casiraghi, inspired by the relationship between humans and nature through narratives of past, present, and future. Casiraghi portrays this through three main characters: the archaeologist, the farmer, and the astronomer.
The Archeologist rug represents one of these characters and is hand-knotted in Bhadohi, India. It is crafted from high-density New Zealand wool, a material known for its combination of softness and durability. The weaving technique results in a dense and even texture with a smooth surface and refined detailing. With a 15 mm pile, the rug has a tactile quality that enhances its presence in a room.
Produced in limited editions, only a small number of rugs are available in each size. The Archeologist rug is Goodweave™ certified and designed for long-term use.
