Gravitino541 is a table lamp from Stilnovo, Italy, designed by Antonio Macchi Cassia in 1969. The design is based on two spherical forms positioned one above the other, with the lower sphere serving as the base and the upper sphere housing the light source. The clean geometry gives the lamp a sculptural appearance, while the construction is designed to make the light flexible and directional.
The spheres are made of glossy lacquered metal, with a reflective surface that captures the surrounding light and creates variations depending on the viewing angle. Gravitino541 is available in several versions, ranging from neutral tones such as white and black to grey and more expressive colour combinations. The simple form allows colour and surface to play a prominent role in the overall design. The Gravitino541 table lamp features an adjustable lamp head, allowing the light to be directed as needed. Together, the two spheres form a compact composition in which the functional construction is integrated into the geometric design language.
