Wittmann

Wittmann creates furniture designed to be appreciated over time. Every piece is rooted in an uncompromising approach to craftsmanship and design – two core values that have defined the brand since its foundation. With a strong sense of form and innovation, Wittmann has established itself as a significant player in furniture history and continues to leave its mark through its timeless design language.

Tradition & history

Founded in 1896 as a saddlery, Wittmann has remained family-owned for generations. Production still takes place exclusively at the company headquarters in Etsdorf, Lower Austria.

During the 1950s, Wittmann established itself internationally as a manufacturer of high-quality upholstered furniture. To this day, the furniture is handcrafted according to the same high standards, with craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. The combination of tradition and precision continues to form the foundation of the brand’s development.

Quality & care

Exceptional craftsmanship and a carefully selected range of exclusive materials form the foundation of Wittmann’s production. To bring new ideas and expressions to life, the brand regularly collaborates with renowned designers and architects. Several of these collaborations have evolved over many years, including names such as Johannes Spalt, Jean Nouvel, Matteo Thun and Paolo Piva, whose legacy is now carried forward by designers such as Jaime Hayon, Sebastian Herkner and Luca Nichetto.

Several collections also pay tribute to Josef Hoffmann’s design legacy. Wittmann offers reissues of his groundbreaking furniture, which still constitute a central part of the collection today.
