HJW37 pendant lamp without height adjustment function

HJW37 is a pendant lamp from Carl Hansen & Søn in Denmark, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1962. The lamp has been in production ever since, combining Wegner’s pared-back design language with thoughtful features for flexible and pleasant lighting.

The wide shade is made from aluminium and complemented by a metal suspension. The construction directs the light downwards, creating a warm and pleasant pool of light, while the height-adjustable socket makes it possible to alter the position of the light source. This allows the light to be adjusted as needed for more glare-free illumination. HJW37 is well suited above a dining table or coffee table, where its distinct form and directed light distribution come into their own. The pendant lamp is also available with a height-adjustment mechanism, allowing the height of the fixture to be changed to suit the room and intended use. This functional detail provides additional flexibility in both living rooms and dining areas.
