Spiralé wool rug

Spiralé wool rug is a hand-knotted rug from the Franco-Italian brand cc-tapis. The design was created by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault and draws inspiration from metal mesh – an industrial material the architectural duo has worked with since the 1990s. With Spiralé, this architectural language is translated into a wool textile structure.

The pattern is inspired by the expanding movement of metal mesh, forming a recurring zigzag motif that shifts, stretches, and repeats across the rug’s surface. In wool, the geometry takes on a softer expression, maintaining its structure while gaining a tactile dimension that highlights the presence of the material.

Spiralé is made from hand-knotted wool and colored through the wool’s own natural shades. No dyes are used – the palette emerges through the interaction of fiber, process, and form. The rug is suited for dry indoor environments and complements interiors where material, rhythm, and surface engage in dialogue with the space.
