Chouchin Reverse 1 is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Ionna Vautrin in 2015. The model has a modern and understated design language in which simple proportions are combined with a clear focus on the craftsmanship of the glass.
The shade is made of white blown glass and complemented by a narrow coloured ring at the bottom. The subtle detail contrasts with the white surface and gives Chouchin Reverse 1 its characteristic expression. The blown glass surrounds the light source and diffuses a warm, soft light into the surroundings. Chouchin Reverse 1 combines a decorative presence with a clean, pared-back form. The interplay between the white glass, coloured ring and warm light creates a well-balanced whole in which material and craftsmanship take centre stage.
