The Droppen Seat Cushion is a cushion that is specially adapted to use with the chair "Droppen" from Fritz Hansen. The cushion is available in two colors. The Droppen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958, especially for the Sas Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and is produced by Fritz Hansen. Originally, only 150 copies were created and it is only in recent years that the Droppen would begin to be produced in larger editions. But thanks to Jacobsen's timeless design language, the design feels as relevant today as when it was launched.

The SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen opened in 1960 and is often referred to as the world's first design hotel, and also Denmark's first skyscraper. Arne Jacobsen designed the interior here, including the Droppen, whose softly rounded shell contrasted with the hotel's more austere architecture. Jacobsen was responsible for the full design concept down to the smallest detail, from the outdoor facade and the furniture to the cutlery in the restaurant. The SAS Royal Hotel has therefore come to be called Jacobsen's all-round work of art. Several design icons were introduced and put Danish design on the world map. It is also said that the Droppen was Jacobsen's personal favorite piece of furniture.
