Superellips is a classic dining table from Fritz Hansen, designed in 1968 through a collaboration between Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen. For this model, the table is extendable and comes in two sizes. The table top is available in two variants, laminate with aluminum-clad edge or completely in walnut veneer. The laminate top is available in several different colors and is made of the particularly durable material fenix laminate, which Fritz Hansen introduced for Superellips in 2017. Fenix laminate means an extra matte and scratch-resistant surface on the table top. The legs consist of removable steel tension legs and are available with a chrome-plated or powder-coated surface in white, black or gray.

The inspiration behind Superellips comes from Piet Hein's ingenious solution to a traffic problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm, a superelliptical roundabout. Superellips has become one of Scandinavia's most well-known tables and a true design icon from Fritz Hansen.
