Selandia dining set oval dining table & 6 armchairs

Selandia is an outdoor furniture set from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by Mogens Holmriis and Anders and Lars Hegelund. The set consists of an oval Selandia table and six armchairs from the same collection. Selandia is characterised by soft curves and an elegant Nordic design language with subtle French influences.

The spacious table features a gently shaped, slatted tabletop resting on curved, intersecting legs. The table can be extended with one or two extension leaves to adjust its size as needed. In the centre is a parasol hole, covered by a brass detail when not in use. The six armchairs are made from teak and feature a folding construction that makes them easy to store. Their soft lines echo the shape of the table, creating a cohesive dining set. Attention to detail can be seen in the chairs’ slotted screws, which are consistently aligned in the same direction. Selandia creates a complete outdoor dining area and is naturally suited to the terrace, patio or garden.
