The Experiment Chair from HEM was designed by Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro in 1982 and has since become an icon of 80s design. The chair combines the ergonomic qualities of functionalism with a bold postmodern expression. The Experiment Chair has been updated to suit today's needs, with new upholstery options and slight adjustments in size. The decorative armrests remain, with green representing trees. Kukkapuro aimed to bring art into functionalism and create a chair that appeals to both romantic tastes and practical needs.
